Czech MoD to Open a Tender to Supply Anti-aircraft Missile System
09.06.2016
In accordance with the plans of development and modernization of the Czech Armed Forces, the Czech MoD plans to distribute RFI to the potential manufacturers and suppliers of modern means of antiaircraft missile defence in August.
The Czech Armed Forces is nowadays finalising the initial operational requirements of the new system that will be used for addressing the industry and to analyse the industry capabilities to deliver the system as originally planned.
The modern anti-aircraft missile systems of short- and medium-range should replace the current surface-to-air missile 2K12 KUB in 2020-2024. The system should increase the operational capabilities of air defence against all means of air attack, including the detection and elimination of aircraft, UAVs, helicopters, guided cruise missiles, small-scale and low-flying targets.
