R&D Project Director
AITEX’s Composite and Defence Research Group

Holds a degree in Industrial Engineering (Textile Specialization) from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and has more than 20 years of experience in textile research and innovation.

He is currently R&D Project Director at AITEX’s Composite and Defence Research Group and previously led the Smart and Functional Textiles Research Group.

Throughout his career, he has coordinated and contributed to numerous regional, national, and European R&D projects focused on functional and high-performance textiles for fashion, home, footwear, and technical applications. He is co-inventor of 7 patents and 4 utility models.

In the defence and security sector, he specializes in personal protection systems and served as Technical Coordinator of the EDA-funded VESTLIFE project, and internal technical coordinator of ECOBALLIFE EDF project in AITEX, developing lightweight modular ballistic solutions.

His extensive experience in multidisciplinary team management and EU-funded projects makes him a valuable contributor to Horizon Europe and European Defence Fund initiatives.
